I think the staff, doctors, and physios at this surgery are fantastic. It’s a shame to see negative comments, because I don’t think people realise how good this surgery is compared to others. My previous surgery only had locum doctors, which caused a lot of problems with continuity of care. Here, I finally have a consistent, caring doctor, and for the first time in my life, I’m actually making progress with my health. Please be mindful when leaving reviews, the team here genuinely does their best with the limited NHS funding they have. I’m really grateful for everything they do. A practice where all the staff work together is a really positive thing 🙏🏼
Best decision I made this year was to return to my local surgery. I have had better communication in the last 3 weeks than I had in the last two years at my previous surgery. Using the NHS app to communicate with Burton Croft and the communication is great. Query answered within 3 hours, appointment booked for next week and having had some issues with my previous surgery messing up my documents they have resolved my issues and called me to clarify! What a breath of fresh air it is to be back. I finally feel like I am back in safe hands. The admin team, reception ladies and the doctors are all great. Thank you for giving a great service even in a time when you as a surgery are overwhelmed :)
Honestly I don't have a bad thing to say about this practice. They have been consistently good throughout the 10+ years I've been registered. They are responsive, the doctors are fantastic and the reception staff are helpful. I feel so fortunate to be registered here, and am incredibly grateful for the ongoing high quality care I receive.
I’ve been in this surgery for more than 5 years and it has been ok. But the last two times the same receptionist did the same thing. I’ve been waiting at the que to book an appointment and she refers me to the pharmacist although it’s obvious pharmacist cannot do anything about me. She just wants to get rid of me. Today it was the worst, I am 9 weeks pregnant with 38,5 fever and she said pharmacist can assist you. Of course pharmacist couldn’t and I am now at the hospital with an infection. I hope you are happy now and I hope you start doing your job better! 0star if I could only for that unhelpful obviously bored (young) receptionist. The older lady and the doctors are amazing!
Having had a cough for 5 weeks which has not responded to a course of antibiotics, I rang the surgery to ask for advice as to whether this was normal. I was in a queue for 25 minutes, only to be told that there were no GP ring backs this afternoon, due to staff training. I was told to ring back tomorrow, and when I asked if I could be added to tomorrow's ring back list, I was told no. The receptionist told me it was tomstop people ringing in advance unnecessarily. I said that I was ringing the GP for a good reason . I do not do this to waste their time. I am a retired nurse, and any staff training we had did not take place at the expense of the patients. A member of staff was always prioritised to man the fort. Training is vital for clinicians, but not sure that blocking out the call back service is good for patient care.
