What a wonderfull service from Andrew and staff at J E Spence. Professional, curteous, compassionate, and very warm people. And many thanks to Robyn for all your help. Thanks to Tony and Paul from Dignity for the care and respect you showed to my dad. All of you made a very upseting and difficult time easier to get through. Andrews advice, and patience helped us choose exactly the right ceremony for Dad, and he made some excellent suggestions we would never have thought of. After the sad death of my wife in September, I was unsure what the procedures were regarding the funeral and what would happen next. I needn't have worried. From meeting James for the first time it was obvious that I was in good hands. He lead me through all the procedures in a kind and sympathetic manner and always listened to any suggestions I may have had. He also introduced me to the celebrant who was truly excellent in the way he delivered the eulogy. Both James and Robyn could not do enough for me and were always on call whenever needed. To sum up a very sympathetic and yet personal approach which made the whole process bearable. It's a pity I can only give 5 stars for this review. I wish I could give 10!

Andy and his team were exceptionally kind and courteous in all our dealings with them regarding the arrangements for my sisters funeral. Everything was clearly explained resulting in the Funeral and subsequent scattering of her ashes passing without any hitches. Thanks again to Andy, Robyn and the rest of the team at JE Spence. We chose JE Spence for my son’s funeral. From his first visit to us Andy acted very professionally and considerate to our needs. Both Andy and Claire dealt with several members of my family, in my absence, to make sure that all aspects of the funeral ran smoothly. We had used JE Spence many years ago and they have certainly maintained very high standards over a long period. We would certainly recommend them to others.

A huge thank you to all of you. Andy and the team were superb from the very first phone call. I was overseas and needed to start arrangements for my Mum from there. I was in shock. Andy made me feel so reassured about the process, the next steps and kept me proactively updated with information he received from the hospital/coroner. We then had an appointment to discuss the funeral, again, feeling like 5 star clients. Equally fabulous with my elderly father and me and my sister as we decided what to do. The funeral was held at the Chapel at JE Spence and it was perfect for a small gathering. Every second I felt that mum was in great hands and the whole team cared very much about the importance of what they do. Finally, due to Mum's wishes we opted for a private cremation post the funeral. The whole team took incredible care of mum right up to the end. Taking her carefully in the hearse to the Crematorium. I would not hesitate to recommend the team, and JE Spence. Andy especially has made what could have been challenging, and was hugely emotional smooth and slick and clearly cares for his clients (both living and not!). Also our chosen celebrant (Anna) was incredible. Thanks all of you.
