We cannot recommend Abu Bakr highly enough, especially the butcher. The quality of the meat is consistently outstanding, fresh, clean, and expertly prepared every single time. You can genuinely tell that care, skill, and integrity go into their work. The butcher is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help, whether it’s recommending the best cut or preparing the meat exactly how you want it. The service is warm and trustworthy, which is why we have complete confidence buying from them. We don’t buy our meat from anywhere else. Abu Bakr has set the standard for quality and reliability, and once you shop here, there’s honestly no reason to go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

I’ve just visited Abu bakr LS4 branch on 17th October 19:30 pm. I’m regular customer here from last 3 years. I’ve got best & worst customer service together. I was looking for Jaimin Gathiya packet & owner was so polite he specially find out that from delivery pallet. That was the best customer service but same time i was looking for heera chakki atta & that was expired so i bought different brand pack. When i was paying on till a lady was service me, i didn’t remember her name but she was assistant manager. I said that that heera chakki atta is expired. & she was like we got new packets here beside till. I was like okay i want swap this pack. Just give me the difference amount back. But she was keep denying like i can’t give you refund. I can give you gift card. I was like first of all you’re selling expired product & i’m just asking to exchange the same thing & getting the difference amount back. She was keep denying so i said okay that’s fine leave it. & her answer was ‘’ Don’t show your tantrums here’’ & buy being angry on me she gave me difference amount back. One side owner is trying to make relation with customer & giving best customer service. And other side just bcz this type of staff business looses the customers. She has to be sorry for this, probably never visiting this place again….

Went for the first time today and it's a great shop. Soooooooo much stuff you can't get elsewhere, really decent prices, loved the prepared food counter. Will definitely be back!

Today i went to get some chicken drumsticks and the customer service was absolutely magnificent and got what i needed in time. The butchers were very helpful and the butcher section is always nice and clean environment. I don't understand why people give bad reviews i've been coming to this shop for 2 years + and never ever had any issues i would recommend this place.

Abu Bakr is a great place for Asian and international groceries in Leeds. They’ve got a wide range of spices, lentils, rice, green veggies, fruits and everyday essentials at good prices. The kitchenware section is also impressive, lots of useful items like pressure cookers, pots, and utensils that you don’t easily find elsewhere. The store can get a bit crowded at times, and parking is limited, but the variety and value make it worth it. Staff are helpful and the store is generally clean and well stocked. Definitely one of the better places for ethnic groceries and kitchen items in the city.
