The Audio Room - Leeds

Purchased a Rega P3 RS edition turntable, great service. Excellent shop and range of HIFI. Will be back for some other items I need in the future.

I had been interested in upgrading my Turntable, but the year before last, costs were increased so I held back. Early July last year, I saw a post online that Rega had issued a 50th Anniversary edition of their Rega Planar 3. This was to celebrate 50 years of their existence. The 50th Anniversary comes in Walnut and also includes the PSU plus the upgraded Exact Cartridge.The cost is less than buying the items separately and is a bargain. I went to the Audio Rooms in Hull as they are the local Dealer for Rega and was met by Darren. I was able to pay a deposit and then paid monthly instalments. I was delivered the Turntable early last week by Jack at no extra cost for delivery and am so impressed with it. The mids are increased due to an improved soundstage and the bass reaches lower too. I am very happy as there is more of the music to hear too. Jack was with me for about an hour and he set the Turntable up for me. A job that takes less than ten minutes. He could have left straight away, but we chatted about the Hull Shop, the new Leeds Shop, other things Hi-fi and he also recommend what options I would have should I wish to upgrade further. Over the monthly visits to pay my instalments, I met all three members of Audio Rooms including Spencer and they were very friendly, happy to accomade my requirement and funny too, especially Spencer who likes to eat his Packing Up very early in the day. I would recommend Audio Rooms for your requirements. They have a quite a number of brands and are specialists in what they do. They have been operating for quite some time and were originally based in Hedon. The Shop in Hull has been open a number of years and is doing well in this current clime. They have just opened a new Shop in Leeds and Jack is the main person there. They are open one day less per week than the Hull Branch, but this may change should staff be increased. I shall definitely be going back again at some point as I would like to upgrade my current Amplifier. It won't be for some time though as I have other things to deal with first.

Local HiFi shop, welcoming reception and a good range of stock. I was allowed to take home a pair of speakers to try in my listening room, not many places would allow that. Many thanks and I'm sure I'll be back.

Purchase a Rega P3 turntable along with the Rega Fono and a pair of Dynaudio speakers. Had l ever heard of them before visiting the shop , absolutely not. Jack was amazing with his knowledge and guidance on best value for my budget. He spent lots of time explaining the differences between each component and set up the different variations as to what the music would sound like. Not once in our discussions did he try and “ sell “ me more than l was looking for. Jack and his dad Darren installed the system in my home once again taking me through each component and how to operate. Would l recommend The Audio Room - most definitely , if there was the option to give a higher ranking l would . Thanks Jack and Darren
