Lovely small bar , it can be busy but we'll worth a visit.
My partner took me to Hebden bridge for my birthday and we decided to come here for a nice drink. We were sat down for less than 5 minutes before a staff member came up to us to ask if we were going to order. I replied "yeah, we're just deciding want we want", at this point we were trying to warm up as we were freezing and also doing their quiz they had on the table, the staff member's reply was "well we're not a bus stop". We were very taken aback by this and i explained again that we were just deciding what to get. The staff member proceeded to roll her eyes and make a face. We felt so uncomfortable and wasn't sure why we were getting this service (didn't know if it was because of homophobia). We stayed and got a drink, which was a flat vodka lime and soda, I couldn't even finish it and then quickly left. I was very upset by this service and unfortunately won't be returning in the future.
Amazing micropub in the centre of town. There is always a really warm feeling here with a good selection of beers from cask to keg, chilled out music and a lovely "lived in" sort of feels. The new bar manager is experimenting with theme nights and the odd quiz among other things and they're always a laugh. There is a nice outdoor space with cover for the inevitable bad weather - I've been coming here years and didn't realise I hadn't reviewed it; one of the best bars in town.
We were loookng for this pub on google maps , when the owner happened to be sat next to us in a restaurant, and recommended it obviously π I tried the beer he recommended , in the mouth of the wolf , lovely tasting ale Also tried lost in ikea equally as nice , definitely recommend if in the area Good beers and very friendly and helpful staff behind the bar
03/10/24: Fierce & Noble Brewery: Siesta Sangria sour 5%. 05/05/23: back again, Love it here! 01/05/23: back again. Still a great choice of craft ale. We really enjoy it here! We went to the New Road bar which has extensive list of ales, a small selection on tap and a good variety of flavours & styles to suit everyone! Friendly and helpful staff made our choices easier.
