An amazing place for coffee with a great array of baked goods - I loved my matcha cheese cake blondie. The blondie was super delicious, probably the reason why there was only one left when I got there. The coffee is delicious and the staff were lovely. I also grabbed an equinox blood orange kombucha from the fridge which was delicious. If you are new to the caffe you may not realise that there is additional seating downstairs. The upstairs is beautiful and bright, has lovely big windows. Downstairs is a more cosy vibe, with a fire place, two couches and a long table. Just a beautiful welcoming space ✨

Hidden in between Hebden Bridge local buildings with great feel and atmosphere. Great stop for good coffee and and great selection of cakes. I would love to take an opportunity for a few more pictures but I didnt want to disturb customers quality time you easily get inside. Colourful and wooden interior with the smell of calm and peaceful break. Really happy we stepped in and grabbed a 5. 5 🌟 of course.

What a jewel of a place. Cozy, quirky welcoming ,with fabulous coffee and delicious locally made cakes and coffee , and the finest array of spider plants know to humankind!!. Even the loo is funky, but bear in mind very steep stairs.

My wife and I started visiting The Hermit last year and it quickly became our favourite cafe in Hebden Bridge. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, truly some of our most favourite people. The coffee is delicious as are the cakes which are selected from local independent bakers in the area. If you time it right, you might be able to nab the super tasty pork pie and cheese platter which is a hearty feast. At this time of year, the mulled cider is wonderful. Brilliant little gem of a place with a fabulous atmosphere to boot. Very LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Had a lovely experience here. The cafe is stunningly decorated, enhanced by April sunshine on our visit. A lovely variety of hot drinks are on offer and bar drinks, too as well as beautiful cakes.
