Earlier today, I visited Brockholes Nature Reserve and had an unpleasant encounter with the grumpiest ice cream vendor I've ever met. We asked for 8 ice creams, but some of the kids changed their minds. There were no queues, so it wasn't busy, yet the man in the van seemed visibly annoyed. When I asked if he had any ice lollies, he rudely responded that he didn’t. We placed our order and proceeded to pay, but his attitude made it seem like we couldn’t afford it (which, considering his prices, wouldn't be surprising). Even after paying, his demeanor didn't improve, so I decided to ask for a refund and leave. He refused, stating that they don't issue refunds. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. It's overpriced, and the customer service is terrible. Apparently, his father is the owner, so he doesn’t mind if I file a complaint.
Rude ice cream seller at Ogden Water. Impolite and miserable to say that these were not cheap icecreams. A friendlier member of staff would be much better and I'm sure more beneficial to your company.
I was at Temple Newsam on Wednesday 6th August 2025. There was a Royds ice cream van, i purchased ice cream for my family. The person serving was impolite, not good service. I will prefer not to buy from this company in the future. Also we were told when we asked for sherbert that this will be an extra charge. We were charged £1.15 per ice cream for this. This is not transparent and not shown on the ice cream van pics. It is misleading and a huge expense just for sherbert.
Wife was blatantly ripped off by one of thier vans at temple newsam on 04/05/25. The display menu within the van stated that a small 99 without flake £2.00 and £2.50 with flake. My wife decided to get both herself and our little boy a small with flake but with sprinkles on his. This came to £8.10!! my wife mistakenly tapped the card then suddenly realised she had been ripped off at this point, which was obviously too late. She questioned the additional £3.10 she had been charged for what should have been £5.00 for the two flaked ice creams. The guy stated that the additional charge was for the sprinkles!!!!! , he then back tracked when this was questioned and said the prices on the board were wrong!! I've reported to Leeds City Council to avoid others falling victim to this.
Very tasty ice cream and very easy to deal with. They provided 1,100 ice creams / lollies for us to reward school staff and students and the event went without hitch. All staff and students really enjoyed the ice cream, with many commenting about the quality. The staff were eager to do whatever they could to make the event a success and we'll definitely be using them again. I highly recommend them!
