We were craving authentic Indonesian food and this place delivered! We started with an order of Bakwan Jagung (sweetcorn fritters) for the table, and they were an instant favorite. My daughter absolutely adored them and devoured half the plate on her own. For my main, I ordered the Tongseng Ayam with rice. The soup was rich and flavorful, tasting exactly as I remember from my experience. The portion was huge, a real feast, so I ended up with a delicious leftover meal to take home. My wife ordered the Soto Ayam with vermicelli, and it was a fantastic Soto Betawi. She had been looking forward to this all day, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were spot-on, and she managed to finish the entire generous bowl. Overall, the food was delicious and authentically prepared. The portions are very big, so you definitely get your money's worth. Highly recommend it for a satisfying meal!
The food here is delicious and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. I have lived in Indonesia so I know the food is authentic and cooked by Hannah who is Indonesian. I've tried most dishes on the menu and all of the food is good. The portion sizes are big, so make sure you have a good appetite. My favourite is the Tong Seng, reminds me so much of Indonesia!
The food offerings at the Trades Club is actually one of the best in Hebden Bridge. Great tasting food in a relaxed setting. Very tasty!
