Just driving past and seen the sign for a carvery and without reading any reviews we called in . We was greeted with a warm welcome and we asked if they had a table for 4. We was seated and enjoyed our meals. The carvery was delicious with a great selection of vegetables. And the roast beef was really tender and so was the pork. It’s got a really nice homely feel to the pub and a nice atmosphere. And the staff were really friendly and welcoming we will definitely come back for a meal here.
I enjoyed a tasty roast beef dinner. Kind, helpful and friendly service. They took the time to cater to my dietary requirements and I met some lovely locals, Carol & Steve. Highly recommend for a nourishing meal & proper Yorkshire welcome😌
Superb Sunday carvery. Beef and pork were delicious with some nice crackling, and you had unlimited veg refills. I got the large carvery for £15.95 and I couldn't finish it. The waitress kindly offered to box it up, so the roast beef and potatoes came home with me, a nice treat the next day. The carrot crush was excellent as was the mash. Highly recommended.
I called in for a Meal 11th December 2025 at 18:59. The meal was just ok there was only one kind of steak(rump) it would not have been my first choice. We stayed exactly 1 hour 40 mins. I can be so precise as I just in the post today got a £100 fine for parking in the car park. As the car was a rental it has already passed any time allowed for appeal and I am now back home abroad. It seems I failed to notice car parking is controlled using ANPR. It might have helped if the staff advised me of the charges. I have been there numerous times before when parking was not charged. I was advised in the fine document I should have entered my car reg in the premises. So good bye my £100
Lovely friendly pub, great service, cracking beer and great food. The chips are top draw!!! Lovely tapas too.
