We bought a car from here... only had it a few days and it needed to go back to have things fixed. The engine was so loud and rattled really bad, they said that's normal for a diesel. Got a 2nd opinion from the garage we use locally and they said get rid of that car before the engine seizes on you..... we got sold a pile of rubbish. I would definitely not go here for a car or any mot or services. Avoid at all costs.
Absolute nightmare! - I bought a Porsche Cayenne from James Shepherd Dealership 4 weeks ago, brought it home to discover it had mechanical and electrical problems. Reported these back to the dealership /finance company straight away, James Shepherd said there was nothing wrong, but I rejected the vehicle anyway. Prior to sending it back to the dealership - I took it to a Porsche specialist who checked it over and confirmed there were issues. Thank goodness I had the finance company on my side, they took the matter up with the dealership and Car Money arranged for an independent inspection to be done on the car, which ruled in my favour. James Shepherd are still denying there’s anything wrong with the car. They have refused to refund the money back to the finance company and have told them to ‘just come and collect the car, as they’ve wasted enough time and money’! They also blamed me for a chip on the windscreen, which I noticed after driving the car for around 10 minutes - I thought it was a mark on the windscreen. An ADR report showed the ‘chip’ was mentioned on the 2022 MOT! Stay clear, please don’t put yourself through the stress and anxiety of dealing with them.
I transferred my business to this garage after being ripped off by another garage in Hebden and have never looked back. I use them for all Mot works, services, mechanical works and more recently body work. I have an old Volvo with 4 of us driving, two of which are recently passed teenagers who have damaged the body work quite a few times (yesterday was another classic - luckily on the wall of my own drive) and i cannot thank Wes and the team enough for dealing with my car (often with no appointment) and charging me a fraction of the cost that i had been expecting. My older girl now has her own vehicle (Mot due October) and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Thank you guys and a thank you to the lovely mechanic that fit my rear view mirror for free (proved a-lot more difficult and time consuming than expected and he dropped his other work to do this as my son had his driving test on the day), he passed!!
Buying my next car from James Shepherd. Mark the salesman seems like a decent guy. No pressure to buy. Allowed me to test drive without any problems. Sometimes the smaller dealerships are better than the bigger ones. Worthwhile journey and got what I wanted
Just bought my next car from James Shepherd of Hebden Bridge. Totally professional salesman Mark did everything to make our purchase faultless. Car came with full service and new MOT. Although not the size of large dealerships, their attitude to potential customers is spot on. Totally and highly recommended
