Just been to Murt's Tyre Bay. Had a split in one front tyre and a possible slow puncture in both back tyres. Marcus took a look. He advised the split on the front was superficial and there were faulty valves on both back tyres. So went in thinking I might need to pay for up to 3 new tyres, and didn't need any. Very fast, efficient service from both Marcus and the lady on reception. And no upselling. Will definitely go back when I do need new tyres.
Took car in for starter motor was charged for a clutch alteration that didn't need doing and was not authorised to do. had to take it back day after. beware.
We take all the family cars to Murts. Always friendly, willing to offer advice and keen to save you money where they can. They’ve been serving their community for a long time and given their recipe for success, they’ll be doing it for a long time yet!
First time I've used them and the last. I found them very expensive and i was charged for services never charged before in any other garage I have used. Problems with new front spring ive had fitted? Not had a new spring fitted.? £25 gas charge to heat nuts up, really? £58.00 service charge to do this, I went for wheel tracking @ £39 ish and a new tyre. Final bill £244.57. Disappointed but paid the bill.
