The pharmasist has been very helpful and knowledgeable with concerns around medication and blood pressure. I've had prescriptions from here and bought off the shelf meds with no issue

Don’t expect any kind of welcome service from this pharmacy, especially if you have young children! I visited with my 2 year old and 1 year old to collect a prescription for my older child. When the cashier checked it on the system I was asked, abruptly, if it was needed today. Even though it had been ordered by the doctor 24 hours previous. I explained, politely that I had travelled into town especially and ideally I’d like to collect it because parking and bringing the two little ones out again tomorrow would be quite tough for me. I was told they would check if it was in stock and if it was they’d do it. I waited patiently (no other customers in the shop at this point) meanwhile my two year old who is potty training had an accident. I again, politely asked if there was somewhere I might be able to change her to which I was told simply ‘no’. I was left to get down on the dirty floor in the shop and have to clean poo from my daughter’s pants and trousers in view of a few standing customers. I might add with no update on where the prescription was. I cleaned up my daughter off the filthy floor and then asked if indeed they had the prescription in stock. No one had updated me. I was then asked ‘what name was it again?’ By the same 2 people who I had spoken to on arrival. I’ll re iterate that the shop was not bursting at the seams with customers. It wouldn’t be difficult to forget which customer it was with two young children, the one year old in the pram was now crying at this point. When they finally came back with the prescription I was asked, as you usually are to confirm the name, date of birth and address which I did, omitting the postcode, thinking that would suffice. But no, this lady was determined to keep me in this shop longer and make this experience more stressful for me with now a 2 year old tugging at me to go home and a crying baby asked me then to confirm the full postcode. Never have I written a google review before but this absolutely dire and quite frankly upsetting service made me feel compelled to do so.

Tried to collect prescription at 6pm. Closed. GP specifically sent it to Boots because they’re open until 6.30pm. Checked website - says 6.30. Not today🤬 So delay in starting my antibiotics.

Booked for the flu jab online- but apparently this store doesn't do or didn't have any under 65 flu jabs. Considering how much boots spammed me reminding me of my appointment you'd think they would also be able to change online bookings so they know certain stores won't do under 65 flu jabs, you put your date of birth in the system, surely this info is then sent to the boots store and someone somewhere at boots could have let me know!

They seem to be really struggling with the workload here since closing the other branch in Hebden. The staff are trying their best, but are overwhelmed, the store is often full of waiting customers, there are stock shortages and on one occasion I had to return four times to get the prescription filled. Boots need to look at what they can do to improve this store.
