Very helpful staff and of course quality Rohan gear

It surprises me that there are negative comments on here. Hebden Bridge is my local store and the staff that work there are knowledgeable and friendly and most are experienced walkers, who know their stuff about the kit they sell. The full time staff know their customers and take time to chat about things like travel and the kit they sell. They also take time to speak with regulars both from the town and from outside about every day things. Yes they may sometimes seem deep in conversation, but that's what the shopping experience used to be like, enjoyable. If you want your shopping like fast food, then this may not be the store for you. But you can always use that Mk.1 Tongue in your head and 'interrupt', I'm sure no-one will mind that you're in a hurry. Alternatively you could go to one of the faceless chains and be treated like just another number. Almost all the Rohan stores I've frequented employ good, friendly, knowledgeable, chatty staff and I hope they keep it up. As for my local HB store, keep doing what you're doing, but perhaps consider a drive through, for those who don't have time to stop and pass the time of day :-) .

Went in clutching my Christmas money ready to spend it . My friend and were completely invisible the assistant was busy rearranging the stock the manager was talking to his mates about his walking climbing experiences . So no service with or without smile . Go to the one in Manchester they want you to buy Rohan . Put me off Rohan went Winfields and spent my money .

Small shop and friendly staff, stock all the range but is very popular so check for your size. On street parking is 1 hour, usually enough time when I've visited.
