The Hideaway

The hideaway is a gorgeous cottage that is situated within a short distance from Hebden Bridge. The cottage has all the home comforts that you need, and is very tastefully decorated. The views are stunning of the countryside, and allows you to connect with nature. The hosts are very welcoming and on hand if you need them. There is lots to be seen in the nearby vicinity and some great pubs and tea rooms. With the added bonus of being dog friendly, a great time was had by both two and four legged friends. We had a lovely weekend in this beautiful cottage with fantastic views. Beautifully furnished with a really comfortable bed. Enjoyed our cosy nights in front of the fire. Only a 20 minute walk down the lane into the village of Heptonstall which has 2 lovely pubs and a fabulous cafe. We were lucky to have a clear night where we could star gaze without any light pollution. Loved watching the sheep at the bottom of the garden, the ducks running across the lane and hearing the owl outside in the evening. We left with tired legs, full stomachs and soothed souls. Paula and Nick are fabulous hosts would highly recommend.

With stunning views outside and being super snug and comfy inside, The Hideaway is a very lovely home away from home for four paws and their lucky humans. Perfectly placed in the valley, the walking is just wonderful and fantastically varied: the beautiful river walk, the rolling fields and wild moor are all right there on the doorstep. An unexpected highlight is the cottage's close proximity to the lovely village of Heptonstall which boasts surely one of the best cafes (great coffee, yummy food to eat in or take away and cakes- vegan and dog friendly!) in Yorkshire. Nick and Paula have worked tirelessly to make this a very special place and they are always on hand with a helpful hint or prompt solution if needed. In short, we treasure our time at The Hideaway and feel so very lucky to have found this gem!

Really good booking system. Clear communication with lots of information on accommodation and things to do when you arrive. We received a welcome call on the day of arrival and there was a lovely welcome pack. Cottage was spotless and bedding, cutlery,towels and soap etc of a very high standard. Bed very comfortable. Easy access by bus to Hebden Bridge. Hosts very responsive to any messages sent. We will definitely be returning.

We can’t say enough good things about ‘The Hideaway!’ Lovely little cottage with everything you need and more. The view you will never get tired of looking at and it’s so peaceful. Such a lot to see and do in the area, and the most Stunning Scenery. The lovely hosts Nick & Paula can’t do enough for you, and a lovely welcome pack was left and much appreciated. Cottage was absolutely spotless. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back, we can’t recommend enough. ❤️
