Max's gym isn't run of the mill. It's offering a high quality, specialised experience with dedicated personal trainers, lots of bespoke advice and a strong community spirit. It's not cheap, but it does offer good value. While the service appears to be highly effective for people with specific and complex health and fitness needs, it's been ideal for me as a gym to get back into good habits and develop a more productive and disciplined routine. I've trained with Emily for my whole time there and, like the other trainers, Em is a warm and friendly human being who is passionate about her vocation and makes the sessions really enjoyable as well as effective. Max and the team are always trying to innovate and add value for their customers and it's a really energising community to be a part of.
I’m in week 2 of TTMF and can honestly say it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made! I’ve struggled with my weight and body confidence all my life, I’ve been to gyms before and was running a very slow 5k once a week but some weeks I’d sack off the gym and run as I couldn’t be arsed. I wasn’t seeing any changes and I was getting so disheartened. I’d even looked in to ozempic but didn’t want to put chemicals in my body just to lose weight, plus I’d heard that once you stop the weight goes back on. I needed something different!! When we moved to Hebden Bridge I searched for a new gym and To The Max Fitness came up. I researched it for months and read all the reviews and finally took the plunge two weeks ago! Wow what an amazing two weeks they have been, I have the best PT who has really pushed me and made me feel like I am strong, I’ve gone from thinking I was doing good lifting at 25kg to lifting 60kg dead lift! I’m now running 15k a week and following my plan and seeing a change in my weight and body already! I have an app on my phone to input all my data and can check in with my PT via WhatsApp any time, having someone hold me accountable is really helpful. I really feel like I am making long lasting positive changes not only to my body and weight but to my identity, for the first time in my life I feel good about what my body can do! If you are thinking about joining TTMF do it, it will change your life! See you in the Gym 💪
I’m half way through the 12 week transformation and already seeing changes. I have joined TTMF as part of recovery from broken bones and preparation for my daughter’s wedding and my 70th birthday next year. The gym is inclusive, friendly & encouraging. My PT is Jack - great fun but also keeps me on track. Highly recommended!!
Have just finished the 12 week program with PT's Jack and Tom and it's been fantastic. Really glad I decided to take the plunge, having never wanted to go to the gym before. I feel stronger, have lost weight and I now have the energy and enthusiasm to get back to caving. Great community to be involved with, all staff have been lovely and supportive.
Issy and Ambi at To The Max Fitness are such knowledgeable personal trainers. I’m new to strength training but both of them always have a smile on their faces and make you feel at ease. Training with them is also super fun! Thank you!
