Clarendon Hotel

Family owned pub/Inn offering a peaceful location, great food, extremely friendly and welcoming staff and dog friendly. It's a 300yr old building so don't expect all mod cons in the rooms. The room was spacious and clean and provided what I needed for my 2 night stay. I booked dinner for both nights, which was extremely good and the choice was excellent. Breakfast was also very good and my dog got a sausage cooked for him - tick! I would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Visited here many times over the years, staying in the rooms way back in 2020. Latest visit being 2025 as staying locally. Food and service absolutely spot on as usual. Scarlet and Freddy served us throughout this week, professional, friendly and accommodating, even with 2 wet cockers. This is an ideal base for those wanting a quieter atmosphere than Grassington. Ideal for walks to Burnsall and Grassington along the Wharf. Food is also bang on. We look forward to seeing you next year. Chris, Zoë, Winnie & Rodney

Excellent hotel. Looks like it needs some TLC when you first arrive but the food is excellent, the rooms are lovely although a hairdryer would be useful, staff are brilliant, go above and beyond. Just stayed for 2 nights with my friends for 40"s weekend 2025. Many thanks to Freddie, Scarlet and Shona. Would definitely stay again. Thanks, Lavinia Kelly.

We ate here yesterday. We had game pie the crust was really over cooked and definitely no soggy bottom my partner left 80percent of the pastry, the meat was really tender. One person had the chicken Caesar salad the chicken was brought out on a separate plate as he had forgot to include this in the dish. One person had a single scoop ice cream which was served in what I can only describe as a chefs saucepan. We think that we really overcharged for what we had. We’ve eaten here before and we were surprised how much standards have fallen

Only dined here so can't rate the rooms accurately but the food was delicious. Great service from the two lads serving and the food was cooked to perfection. I can heartily recommend the venison ( with curried mango.......who knew??? ). Great atmosphere in a proper country pub.
