Good. as my Son is hurried here. Me and my other 2 children come and Subhannallah, They also pray with me. just needed a makeover honestly. Taps also can use a bit of help
A wealth of character and local History of the community. Paths accessible easy to follow map of the sections of the cemetery. Older graves are still often easy to read for information and give vital plot numbers sometimes which help with some unmarked graves. The cemeteries department and bereavement are very approachable and kind. The newer graves are beautiful and often well tended. People passing through are pleasant and you can often gain a wealth of local bygone History from them too. A place I've known from being a young child and have many family buried here but these are the much older graves and unmarked graves. Every place has good and bad in life I have found alot of good in Heckmondwike π
Honestly if i did not have family buried here I would avoid this place at all costs mainly because of how badly the council neglect it, the taps often break, the graffiti on signs covering the rules, dogs often running loose and children and teens treating it like a playground. Not to mention the amount of cars that come and go to visit driving like they're on the main road (luckily can't get through the whole way but still I witness them driving fast through. I have also witness teens riding their mopeds around it too. Things often go missing from graves even if they're glued down.
