The Station Pub is a very well kept traditional pubic house were their friendly staff are always on hand to help, it's dog friendly too. With a spacious beer garden, superb traditional food, it's definitely a place you could visit more than once if your not a local top marks to the chef for a lovely meal
Lovely pub meal, service was excellent the only disappointment was the bad language coming from what looked like regulars sat at the bar. As we had 2 young children I thought the staff would have stopped it🤫. We should really been sat in a more appropriate room, not where we were placed. Just a point for future reference. Other than that very good.
I ordered a small portion of fish and chips and garden peas. The peas were nice unlike the rest. The chips where cut about 3/4 of an inch square and about 4 to 5 inches long. Far too big for me and far too many. The fish was terrible it was over cooked the batter was burnt and the fish so dry. Due to the over cooking.
The station is a lovely traditional pub. After being closed for quite a while it has being sympathetically refurbished and is now open again. It has a good selection of beers and lagers including several cask conditioned hand pulled real ales. There is a nice cozy traditional bar with a dart board, and a larger lounge. The pub serves some nice traditional pub grub, there is outside seating and it's own large car park opposite the pub. Dog friendly, definitely worth a visit.
We had the best meal in a pub for a long time. Everything was perfect. The pub was cosy, traditional and welcoming. Staff were lovely.
