Zero atmosphere, no breakfast menu . Apparently it's been the case on a Thursday for about 6 months ,but we weren't aware, otherwise I wouldn't have travelled with my grandson to treat him to breakfast. I won't be returning after today, other people behind me in the queue weren't aware either . Was made to take a saucer for a hot chocolate that does not even fit on the thing !! And it's bloody cold in here too, so wrap up if you don't want to freeze. I thought it was off that there was barely anyone here. Avoid Thursdays ..... If you still do go , for me and my family we won't make the effort to travel nearly 20 miles anymore . Sorry Sandhills 👎🏻
I travelled a long way for a Thursday morning breakfast only to find a non-existent menu. I ended up with two dry, hard and flavourless cakes for £8. The staff were slow and missed labelling a whole shelf with a 50% discount when in reality it was a single product. It’s no wonder this place is empty. Don’t bother visiting.
Over time the food quality had dropped, no longer use here for a breakfast as the standard got quite bad, sausages inedible, tomato not cooked and cold and toast shoved on the side instead of a separate plate, evident cheap produce used..today popped in and was met at the cafe door with lots of paper notices stuck to them, one saying no hot food...on a Saturday...only what is on the counter...sorry but it is the weekend when most people are out and about....why even bother? Used to be so busy and with a great menu....would not even contemplate bothering now....should just close the cafe completely. Online advertising is misleading...gives the impression of much more and that a full menu served everyday....
I don't have any pictures but this is a lovely garden centre. The restaurant is nicely set out and the food is plentiful and delicious. I personally had the steak pie with mash and vegetables. Very tasty and recommend.
Menu much reduced from a few years ago but still serves quality food and generous portions. One criticism is that they refuse to give you 2 cups with one pot of tea. There's plenty of tea for 2 in one pot. Two half pots of tea were thrown away.
