Silver Star

Ordered tonight I understand when you have busy periods but took 2 hours to arrive and no I'm sorry it was late when it arrived. Special chow mein was greasy and didn't taste nice only 1 prawn. Partner had something that was chilli chicken and beef and all I could smell was vinegar. We have had some nice meals but not tonight I won't be ordering again. I slung mine in the bin and couldn't eat it.

Dont normally complain becase the food is normally high quality but the beef curry was more like a few bits of onions and mushrooms a little bit of beef and a lot of runny sauce and the chips was like they was cooked yesterday very hard and was delivered late

Ordered salt and pepper crispy chicken for first and last time Very disappointed was literally just fried batter contained no chicken at all Always have chicken curry but again disappointed very tiny thin strips of chicken , sauce much spicy than normal Couldn’t eat both dishes tonight total waste of money

After using Silver Star for many years and enjoying the service and food, I felt I had to leave a review, the service was terrible and the food inedible! I would like to complain about my experience and meal ordered from silver star chinese takeaway in hedon tonight Saturday 13th Feb. The order was made online for collection at 7.05 I eventually received my order after 7.35!!!. Last time I ordered online xmas eve I waited 40 mins +. This is not acceptable. The meal I had  chicken in oyster sauce, it was cold and didn't taste nice at all the chicken was of very poor quality and had no taste of anything, the texture was slimy. I ate 2 pieces and some very cold rice and put the rest in the bin. I am really disappointed as this was a treat for us as a family. I will not be using the restaurant again and would not recommend it.

I have being using hedon Chinese takeaway for years it's gone down hill so much it doesn't deserve my money is food is second rate it's gone from amazing to distrusting I advise use Preston or thorn
