Kollective Coffee & Kitchen (Nether Edge)

I really enjoy the atmosphere of this cafe because it’s bright and there’s lots of space. The drinks are okay, sometimes the matcha is really nice but sometimes it’s so sweet even though I’ve not added any syrups? The food is also a hit or miss. The shakshuka is not seasoned well, it’s just like eating a tin of crushed tomatoes with some egg. But the eggs Benedict is nice. Same with the desserts, some are nice, some are not. The main gripe I have with this place is some of the servers are so unhelpful. One girl in particular is very rude and passive aggressive. Anytime I’ve come in no matter how quiet the place is she tells me to sit in the same spot. Not asks, she simply tells me to do it. Such odd behaviour, I’ve literally never had someone talk down to me like she does in any other place? The other staff just seem disinterested or awkward. After a while of going here I simply wouldn’t suggest this place anymore.

I've been looking forward to trying this place for a while and unfortunately I was quite disappointed. I ordered a latte with hazelnut syrup and waited quite a while for it although the waitress apologised for the wait when it came. Unfortunately it was nearly cold, served in a children's cup (I'm not sure why, everyone else seemed to get proper coffee cups) and it was by far one of the worst coffees I ever had, I had to ask for sugar because it was so disgustingly bitter but was not given a spoon so I had to use the end of my fork, even after 3 sugars it was barely drinkable. The waitress was well aware I was having to use my fork instead of giving a spoon, she looked directly at my table multiple times whilst I was doing this but chose not to bring a spoon or say anything. I ordered their version of eggs Benedict which was actually served with salmon not ham, I'm not sure whether I misread the photos I looked at online or whether they just no longer serve real eggs Benedict. The menu did say this meal was served with "crispy kale" but I assumed this would be either on the side or I'd be able to pick it off (I'm fairly confident nobody actually likes kale) unfortunately it was crushed up and sprinkled heavily on top, so just a heads up if your thinking of ordering that. I really did not enjoy my experience here and I won't be returning.

Delicious, fresh food that came quickly. Attentive service and lovely, relaxed environment. Would 100% come back again

Great food good coffee. Nice seating area staff with a friendly didn't have to ask for water and they served it straight away which was nice. Food there was quite healthy but very delicious. Atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back

Went here for a matcha latte. It‘s ok but not one of the best. Service is attentive and nice.
