Food comes absolutely covered in a mustard sauce. NOWHERE on the menu does it say that this sauce is going to come on the food but all both items we ordered were smothered with it. When we asked about an explanation about why this sauce had appeared on the food, the only answer we got 'its the sauce we make'. That's great, but if it's not advertised as coming on the food IT SHOULDN'T BE ON THE FOOD. Complete waste of time and money.
Loved the food, didn’t realise the mixed dips starter was going to be so big. We had also ordered the stuffed vine leaves and the meatballs. Husband had the mixed grill which was pretty substantial and I had the chicken souvlaki which was 3 chicken skewers with chips salad breads and dip. Only managed half of my main & took the rest home along with all the dips and breads. House wine was so nice & would definitely be back
I have ordered 30£ worth of food for pick up couple of days ago and upon arrival found the shop closed. Tried calling no answer. Next day payment cleared my bank account, tried calling them, no answer. Tried calling them again today, no answer. Needless to say they have taken the money out of my account but I never got my food. They appear to have gone out of business but have not bothered updating google or closing down their payment system.
We have always enjoyed the food at El Greco. However, we ordered a meal a couple of weeks ago, via the website, for delivery and the payment was taken. The food didn't arrive and I tried calling the restaurant but no one answered so I drove to the restaurant, only to find it closed, with a hand written note on the door saying " open 11/02/2025".
Tried to order a takeaway from the el greco app, last Friday. Nothing to say that they were closed anywhere. Our order never got confirmed but they have taken the money out of our bank account. We have tried calling and calling but the number just rings out.
