It was a really cold night 3c, radiator by window in restuarant not working some of us had to sit in coats. Service slow they were very busy but really slow to clear tables. Staff were really nice, food is average not spicy enough for me.
I finally visited here after moving to the area a couple of years ago, and I wish I'd been before! It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time, and as good as any Indian / Bangladeshi meal I've ever had. The menu is huge with loads of specials I'd never seen before so it was pretty hard to choose. We had onion bhaji - crispy and light- naan bread - also clearly straight out of the oven. And the main chicken dish was packed with onions and peppers, and the aloo gobi, full of flavour and a perfect side dish. I got the impression the food is made from scratch, packed full of fresh ingredients and spices - not just the meat and sauce approach you sometimes get with bigger chain restaurants. The staff were really friendly, and prices very reasonable. A carafe of house wine for £8.50 and a bill of around £20 per person, you really can't complain! Can't wait to visit again to try some more of their dishes. Thanks guys!
We order from here every week and the last few times the food has been sub par, it’s been cold and chips have been so undercooked however we gave them the benefit of a doubt but tonight was the final straw, the chips was under cooked, the onion bhaji’s and pakora’s was cold the curry had been overfilled and leaked all in the bag and the Pakora box was even sealed properly (as you can see in the photos. It’s such a shame because the food used to be lovely, the drivers are always friendly. The restaurant did pick the order back up and give us a refund and an offer was made for a new order but at 8:45pm I didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes. Had this had been 2 months ago I would have highly recommended but now I unfortunately wouldn’t.
