We have been patients at this GP surgery for over 30 years, and the decline in care over recent years has been extremely disappointing. In particular, our experience with Dr Chetty has been very poor. The manner was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy. We did not feel listened to or taken seriously, which is unacceptable when seeking medical care. After such a long history with this practice, it is upsetting to see how badly standards have dropped. We are genuinely shocked that this level of care is considered acceptable and that the practice is still allowed to treat patients this way. We no longer feel supported or respected as patients.

I have had a series of recent health issues and I have been absolutely blown away by the high quality of care. When I call to speak to the doctor, they have rung my back the same day or next day, arranged medication for me almost immediately and they have even found time to examine me the same day. My calls have never been held in a queue for more than 2 minutes. At previous GPs I have struggled to get hold of a doctor (by phone or in person) and often had to ring at 8 am and sit in a queue for half an hour, but Veritas is an extremely different experience! The doctors have taken my health issues seriously and dealt with each thing professionally and with great sensitivity.

Extremely concerning this new practice is allowed patients. The GP Dr Gasan Chetty is rude and abnoxious and doesnt understand any concept of health concerns. Needs a new profession. I listened in on a call and he patronised the patient. Will be making a complaint to the practice. Avoid this health centre they do not have your best interest at heart.

I must add more to my review as Dr Chetty of Veritas thought it wise to copy my complaint and enter it onto my medical record history. He is not legally allowed to do this. Medical history is for clinical issues alone. Be very wary if you are planning to join this surgery. They are aloof and behave inappropriately. I recently joined veritas clinic to try and get better healthcare than I received at my previous one. Unfortunately I fell out of the frying pan and into a fire. I suffer from debilitating issues including fibromyalgia plus anxiety and depression, yet felt the attitudes of Dr Akram and Chetty were unsympathetic to my concerns. Dr Chetty in particular was awful. I had been requested by Universal Credit to obtain a fit note. Dr Chetty told me their surgery didn’t not supply them. He then went into to give me advice regarding gainful employment. Unbeknownst to him, I’d had an i review just days before. If you have fybromyalgia or similar issues, keep away from this practice. They show no empathy or understanding. I had my UC cancllled do to these two doctors. Their attitude is one of aloofness, not compassion. Dr Akram should have called me three weeks after my face to face appointment with a repeat prescription for medication I needed for pain. I had no call as she’d taken herself off on holiday. That was the reason I had to call. Stay away from this GP surgery as they are not helpful at all. In fact they make sick people go through more hell than what they are going through already. I have no interest now in your complaints process or taking it further. You let me down. My review stands and I am not interested in your comments. What is done is done. I have no reason to contact yourselves again, and hope you show the same respect. A most terrible experience had by myself. And finally your giving me 7 days to find an alternative practice cemented my thoughts regarding Veritas. Knowing full well I’d requested my medical records that would not be available until at least 22/0425.
