Extremely happy with the professionalism and the speed of the process, the estate agents kept me fully up to date with different stages of the purchase both through emails and over the phone. I was first time buyers. Everything went very smoothly and I felt very comfortable and at ease with the agent. What made it even better with Staves is that my offer was accepted and it stayed that way throughout. Whilst I had other estate agents letting me down twice even after accepting the offer. If selling a home were a novel, ours would not have been a breezy rom-com. It was more of an epic saga: twists, delays, external forces beyond control, and moments where hope briefly packed a bag and threatened to leave. Enter Staves, and more importantly, Gail. Our calm in the chaos, our steady narrator, and frankly, a hero. While the journey itself was difficult (through absolutely no fault of anyone involved), Gail went well beyond the call of duty. She was proactive, reassuring, relentlessly patient, and unfailingly human. When progress stalled, she chased. When things became unclear, she clarified. When spirits dipped, she lifted them — usually with good humour and absolute professionalism. Against the odds, through sheer persistence and care, Gail helped steer us all the way to exchange and completion. No false promises. Just genuine commitment and tireless support. If you want an estate agent who treats your sale like more than just a transaction, Staves (and Gail in particular) are the people you want in your corner. A difficult journey, yes. But thanks to Gail, one with a genuinely happy ending. Highly recommended.

Chose Staves over two other estate agents, (cocky/ pretentious respectively), as they came over as solid and dependable, as well as being the least expensive. Got off to a promising start with lots of initial interest, followed by a dearth of prospective buyers. I took over attending viewings, as I realised the representative used by Staves was not seller friendly, (he was subsequently removed). Then another burst of interest which resulted in a very positive viewer who agreed to buy. I followed Staves advice on the selling price, which proved to be a sticking point, but after a suitable reduction because of a recognition that the house, though very livable, was in need of some modernisation. Ironically the eventual buyers loved the 70s vibe of the house! The whole process, from putting the house on the market to completion, took 10 months. I used their recommended solicitors who were hindered by minor legal complications and mishaps, but Staves kept me updated throughout and the whole process ran relatively smoothly. I wouldn't like to be in their shoes as selling a house can be fraught with difficulties. Thankfully we got there in the end.
