Sheffield South Delivery Office

Didn't even attempt to deliver my package despite the sender paying for 48hr tracked postage. Twice Royal Mail claimed my property was inaccessible when I can see they didnt show up either day. Not only was our flat accessible, the communal door was literally wedged wide open and we were outside waiting for a workman at the time they claimed to have attempted delivery on the second day. Impossible to complain, 40 mins wait on the phone to speak to a rep or an irrelevant response from a no reply email address. Infuriating. The birthday gift was due to arrive Thursday for a birthday tomorrow (Sunday) so thats not happening. Untrustworthy, dishonest and dont seem to care about customers.

I specifically instructed the driver to leave my package in a safe place and they instead chose not to deliver it, so I will now have to pick it up from the deliver office during their ridiculous opening hours. If you are in the area of this delivery office, you should seriously consider having your packages delivered by a different service who employ drivers that actually read instructions.

Royal Mail Sheffield South...a complete shambles. Paid for Tracked 48 and, once again, no delivery. No knock, no card, nothing. Then they had the audacity to claim my address was “inaccessible”, despite their van being parked on my street for over four hours. What a joke. This isn’t just lazy it’s deliberately misleading. If your drivers can’t be bothered to walk to the door, don’t lie about it. The blame here sits firmly with whoever’s managing Sheffield South. Clearly incapable of running a delivery office.... zero accountability, zero standards, and a complete lack of control over staff who are happy to lie on the system. If this is the standard Royal Mail accepts, no wonder your reputation’s collapsing!....

Been on phone waiting on hold for 90 mins. Gave up in the end. Absolute waste of time. App says parcel delivered, no proof of delivery or anything. 0 stars 🌟

Can't say I'm happy with Royal Mail as a company - they decided not to attempt delivery due to road conditions at 09:30. The website was down and national phone line too busy - then the sorting office closed at 10:00 (note Google said it closed at 12:00). There needs to be a better system for customers to claim packages in hazardous weather. However, I just wanted to show my appreciation for Thea who was very patient and helped me collect an urgent package despite the official closing time. Thank you!
