delivery drivers went above and beyond for us today. they delivered a sofa and tried everything they could to get our old sofa out of the house even though it set them back some time.
I have been going to the branch for a while now and all the staff Nicky / Adam the driver / Oli and others I don’t know the names are excellent and help me when I am looking for items in particular. The express great care when delivering items and I must say out of all the branches I visit are the best so far . I do take items in also as well as buying . Overall I am very very satisfied with the branch at queens Road Sheffield
Bought a lovely 2 seater settee on Saturday 26th July, paid £20 for delivery which was booked gor Friday 1st August. After waiting on all day when I should have been looking after my dad who has recently had a stroke, someone who I now know to be the manager Oliver, rang me after 2pm to inform me my chair wasn't going to be delivered that day as there was a problem with the van and would have to rearrange delivery the next day between 9.30am and 1pm. As I didn't want to waste another day waiting in for delivery of my settee I rang back and spoke to a lovely lady who didn't seem to know there was a problem with the van as it had just gone out delivering again! I asked then if I could be the first drop off in the morning as I needed to go and help look after my dad. The next day about 9.15am the same lady rang me to tell me that when the settee had been loaded onto the van one of the legs was damaged and had fell off and did I still want it? I asked for it still to be delivered so i could see for myself if it was repairable. So the upshot of this was the manager Oliver knew on the Friday that the leg had come off but didn't tell me that. He left that to his staff to sort out the next day. He lied and said there was a problem with the delivery van. I could still have taken delivery of it on the Friday and sorted this out then if he'd been truthful like the lady had been on Saturday morning. When my settee arrived the delivery man and lady were very helpful and showed me exactly what was wrong with the leg and reassured me it could be fixed which we are now in the process of doing. My issue is you need to be honest Oliver to your customers as we keep you in a job. You not sorting this with me on the day of delivery then put your drivers workload out for the next day. Quality control your goods before putting them on the shop floor too. I shall be having words with Oliver when I next go down there as I live 5 minutes walk away. I was more than happy with everything else apart from the manager!
Experienced the most amazing customer service today at Salvation Army Donation Centre. We just popped in for a browse but immediately fell in love with a Ponsford sofa for an amazingly cheap price. We enquired about buying it and just so happened to bump into the delivery team who had the time to deliver the sofa immediately even though it was a busy Saturday! They were incredibly helpful and really went above and beyond helping us move our new sofa.
This centre is a hidden gem! I found some fantastic bargains, from vintage clothing to unique homeware. The shop is well-organized and clean, making browsing a pleasure. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the prices are unbeatable. It's a great place to find something special while supporting a worthy cause. I'll definitely be a regular!
