Great corner shop, we use it all the time. It has such a good selection for the space and the local beer they sell is great too
Genuinely the best corner shop I’ve been to in the UK. Much more food selection than you’d imagine from a little corner shop, great booze selection, and the staff are the friendliest people ever. Jamie is the best shop assistant ever! Edit: Jamie is gone and the layout has changed. But guess what? It’s still great!
nice shop! my go to when i need something quick. it's close to meersbrook park so its perfect to buy food then go sit and enjoy the park. when walking down nd across to go to the park there is a cool ledge which is a great alternative if you want to sit somewhere less far away
Great little shop. They pack a lot in, considering it’s tiny, all the essentials and even stock some local produce such as the Moss Valley bacon and sausages that I have never seen in any supermarket around here. It’s fairly priced, considering they don’t have the buying power of supermarkets, and it is a convenience store. Use it or lose it.
I have been quite a lot over the years but after my experience today, I won't be visiting again. The customer in front of me was purchasing a lotto ticket and the machine malfunctioned which meant I was waiting for ages. My one-year-old got frustrated and started squirming. I have a shoulder injury and he's big for his age so I put him down while I paid for my purchase. My little boy picked 2 packets of sweets of the shelf and the shop keeper started complaining about him to the lady on the checkout, then told him to put them back. I tried to explain that he can't talk yet and didn't understand what he was saying and that I would put them back but the man completely blanked me. I went to pick my little boy up at which point he thought it was a game and I was chasing him, so ran off. I caught him and picked him up and just heard the end of the sentence as the shopkeeper spoke about me to the other customers. The co-op staff up the road are always lovely and polite so I'll just go there in future. They have a much wider choice of things anyway.
