Great car park with a reasonable price, especially for a location in the national park. Clean public toilets available on site, which is very convenient before starting a hike. Perfect starting point for the Three Peaks walk. Highly recommended!
Ideal Start location for 3 peaks, also has Toilets that open early. Always space at 04.30 to 06.30 so you can get an ealry start.
Lovely area of natural beauty, well maintained and worth a trip if able bodied. If you want to do all 3 peaks do not start unless you have ample time to finish in daylight (10-12 hours)
Lovely walk up Pen-y-ghent in all four seasons. The circular walk took about 3 hours and was 10k. Toilets in the carpark included in the £5.50.
Arrived around 8ish AM with plenty of parking spots - albiet, this was mid-week, not half term/school holidays or bank holiday. Paid via card, no cash needed or was an option (at least from what I found). Adequate toilets but no soap, so don't forget hand sanitiser! Overall, the car park is a good location to start the 3 peaks. It does the job!
