Great fishery scenery is great, hard fighting fish. Catch and release. Very deep water.
Fantastic hard fighting fish. All around the three pound mark will be going back. I've been back twice it now gets plus ➕ 5 stars. Try ithard fighting super healthy fish. Update: This place now hard to find the fish (mid August) but if you hit one it will give you one hell of a scrap. But you have to have your witts with you. I used a white blob jus one foot from the bank to take four good fish. Then went deep for my best fish of the day a well formed brown. It was no record but pushed the 5lb boundary. 13/8/2019. Today Wednesday a wash out the dales at there worst. All been well back Tomorrow. Will be having my tea at the local Inn '' its a gem'' Try this fishery before it's disappeared like so many venues in Yorkshire. See attached photos.
What a place! I love the fishing here, hard fighting rainbow trout, well stocked, well run, quality fish. Had a great chat to Gerry who runs the day to day and he was helpful and a good guy to talk to. Had some success on Buzzers here but not only sub surface... the fish seem fairly free rising at times.
Big thanks to Jerry and Vicky for our visit 25th March. Stunning, unusual fishery with dramatic views all around a very deep slate quarry. Good fighting fish and very deep waters. We will be back.
Fantastic fishery that's well looked after by Gerry, top bloke who can't give you enough information on what's working best! Had 7 fish out and lost 5 all on drys. Hard fighting fish and a lovely place to fish! Can't wait to get back
