Honestly 10/10, cant fault the place. Took my wife for our anniversary dinner. The staff were very accommodating, even throwing in a free piece of cake with a message on the plate for afters. The waiting staff even took photos for us to mark the occasion and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was pleasant. The food was the best I’ve had in Hull quite frankly. The best steak I’ve had in years. My wife ordered seafood and she loved her dish. I would recommend paying a visit. Its definitely worth booking in advance though as we chanced it and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated but worth it and there was a nice bar to wait in.

Massively Overrated – Huge Disappointment Those leaving excellent reviews about the staff and food clearly have never eaten proper, good-quality food. We only visited this place because it was recommended by What’s On Hull, and the disappointment was endless. The food was awful — genuinely below average and not worth serving. After spending £188, we left most of it untouched. Staff were completely undertrained; we had to repeat our order several times, yet it was still wrong. On top of that, the service was negligent and rude. Cleanliness was shocking: no napkins, dirty floors, spider webs everywhere, and the outdoor terrace covered in leaves. We waited an age for starters and mains, despite it being self-service. This place is massively overrated and poorly run. Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what good food and service look like. Picture below to see the amount of food left because was impossible to eat.

Had a lovely early tea here. Spectacular pasta dish, the chicken and crispy bacon franciacorta absolutely outstanding. Mrs had a couple of starters. Generous serving of delicious meatballs and the best bruschetta ive ever had. 5 ⭐️ great service as well, all reasonably priced.

Called in on the off chance for lunch, although it was very busy and we hadn't booked, not knowing what time we had, they found us a nice table. Last time we had been, they had extended the building and to include parking at the side. My wife choose the chilli chicken panini which was toasted, i had the Atlantic risotto with garlic bread pizza. It was lovely with plenty of muscles, calamari and king prawns, some risotto can be stodgy, but this had just the right amount of sauce and a lovely taste. Only one small thing is with having muscles i could have been given a spare bowl for the shell's. Staff were very friendly and it was nice to be able to chat without loud music. Will certainly make another visit when at that end.

We made a visit to this place last weekend and really pleased we did. The atmosphere here is relaxed and pleasant. The staff friendly and jolly and quite helpful. The venue itself is pleasantly decorated and clean. A nice open space with good access in and out. Outside is a nice seating area with again plenty of space. The food it’s self was really good a good helping of food. I had the steak and ail pie which was very tasty, the pastry was a little too much but again nice. My only criticism with the steak and ail pie would be you don’t get enough gravy, plenty of people may disagree but for me I like a good helping of gravy. Family had fish and chips which were apparently fantastic and I must say did look really good. A tandoori chicken burger, again looked really good presentation wise and again delicious and a beef burger which was great all the food was eaten and thoroughly enjoyable. If I was to may one criticism it would Be when the food was served the server rather than going around the table and serving (with plenty of room to do so) she was leaning over and between us to serve. This made us have to move a little to allow her to do this. This by no means is a compliment. Just an inexperienced member of staff maybe. It certainly did not spoil our visit. Overall we were very happy with the food and service and loved the venue. Would we eat here again? YES Would we recommend this venue? YES
