Urban 44 coffee lounge

Food was really mid. Ordered the potato hash and egg Royale, both were just really mehhh so don’t bother. The big breakfast was alright though. The coffee I ordered was pumpkin iced coffee cinnamon cold foam that had a really weird taste - I’m assuming it’s the pumpkin syrup that I simply did not like. Felt that it didn’t have enough milk and no cold foam so I asked the waiter who checked and said that it did come with cold foam… I assumed it would be that creamy thick layer of cold foam on the top but it literally was just bubbles that popped and deflated before it even reached the table. Another minor issue I’d say is that the cast iron pan that the potato hash was served wasn’t seasoned properly so was a little rusty. Service was really good and the waiter did what he could to tend to our needs as it was quite a busy time! There’s parking in the front of the shop (up to 1 hour) - edit Thank you for the response! I did bring it up to the waiter who checked with the kitchen as mentioned in the original review! But that was how it was served was the reply so I don’t know if there’s anything that could have been rectified at that point.

Came to Urban 44 2 days ago on a rare day off in the week and wasn’t disappointed. I arrived at 12ish so just missed the breakfast times and didn’t fancy a large meal, so started with a banana protein shake whilst deciding what to eat, as had been to the gym in the morning. Unsure, I asked the staff what they’d recommend and the owner said go for the Mamma Mia, a grilled sandwich with ham, salami, pesto, tomato’s and mozzarella. Hands down one of the best grilled sandwiches I’ve ever had! I’d noticed the cake selection as walked in and was tempted by 2 or 3. Being a coffee and cake lover I went for the Nutella chocolate cake and this was a taste delight . Home made that morning in house, this was perfect, accompanied by the best tasting coffee I’d had for ages. All in all the visit was exceptional. Lovely, helpful staff, a great vibe and atmosphere and will be back as soon as possible to try some of the other meals, coffee and cakes on offer.

The food is always really good, the portions are generous, and the drinks are well made. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it perfect for breakfast, brunch, a coffee and a catch up or some lunch. —somewhere you can just sit down and enjoy.

Not what I expected... 🤷‍♂️ We tried it eat here months ago, but they had a private function on, so we had to go elsewhere. So today we decided to have another crack at this place since we were nearby. My God, colour me impressed. What a great place for a tasty lunch, with great staff 🙀🤷‍♂️🙂 We got seated straight away, and ordered some drinks, then quickly decided on what to have for lunch. We were even going to go for dessert, but as we sat for 10mins, we decided to buy some of their muffins for later on, as we realised we were fully 🤣 We're so glad we came back, and that's only because my better half remembered ☺️ If you're in the area, give it a go. And no, there's no camomile tea (this is more of a joke for ourselves 😁🤣)

My wife and I stopped in for some hot drinks and a full English and very nice it was too. Lovely little place, great atmosphere and top service. Thank you.
