We visited Wingfield Farm for their large desserts and the service provided by the manager was outstanding today. He went through the large dessert options, current deals on and provided great recommendations on the ice cream selections made! Would revisit just for the service. Desserts are very cheap for the size and quality - the photos don’t do the visuals justice.

Despite not being convenient, this is our regular Sunday carvery place. The food is always fantastic, the meat is served in decent portions, and for the two of us, we can do it for under £40 with a couple of beers. It is frequently very very busy though. I can acknowledge we're going on a Sunday lunch time, so we expect the crowds, but on a 12 o'clock table, you can expect to wait for thirty minutes in the long line, and that's after you've spent fifteen minutes waiting at the bar. It's worth it, but it does mean standing around dodging excited children for a while before you get to eat anything. Not the section we sit in, but the family section seems equipped for the kids, whilst adult table bookings are at the other end of the restaurant, reducing some of the noise, which is appreciated. I find the music a little loud considering it's nearly always packed when we go. Staff are always busy, so can lead to what some people might consider being dismissed, but you can see they're just trying to get their jobs done, so it's not a complaint. In addition, the cakes are great to take home and have nibbles of throughout the afternoon. The slices are quite large, but they've definitely been gradually shrinking as the price creeps up. Still a pretty good deal for the amount of cake you're getting. I've never had any of the ice cream, but the selection seems quite extensive. Overall, we come back here consistently for our monthly carvery for the great food, which is what it's all about really!

Amazing value for money! We came in for the £9.99 unlimited carvery with a soft drink. The meats were melt in the mouth and there was a lot of veg option! Staff and managers were friendly and polite. Only 2 things to note we were next to what I think was a fire alarm which beeps every so often kinda annoying but not the end of the world and the buzzer for if the carvery server is not there isn't very obvious where it is and it looks a little old and slightly melted from the heat a larger new buzzer (ringer) at the front with a sign would definitely save people waiting too long. Other than that it really was fantastic and we will be back for more meats!!

We've always loved coming here for many many years. I bring my Mum and Dad here for mothers and fathers day every year. The food is always good quality, the service is good. But today we felt appreciated more then ever as a customer, by a lovely lady called Irene.. She has been here from the very start they opened the doors 8 years ago, and even told us a little history about the place. It's rare to find such good food and service these days, but i find the Greene King brand second to none. So if your passing through Hull, give Wingfield Farm a try you won't be disappointed

Another great lunch at Wingfield for us, it’s abit of a drive but so worth it. Lovely pub grub and generous portions. We find this a child friendly place, with a small play area it keeps our toddler pleased. Our little girl had a slip and banged her head today, our server Julia was brilliant. So attentive and really tried to help calm her down. Went out of her way for us more than once. Desserts here are to die for, huge and delicious! Prices here are very affordable especially for what you get. It’s nice to sit outside in the warm weather too with our dog, it’s a shame they don’t have a dedicated space indoor which is dog friendly; we would use Wingfield even more if it did. Overall, brilliant place to eat.
