First Practice Dental

I visited First Practice for the first time earlier this year for an emergency appointment due to my veneer breaking (and looking and feeling horrendous). I’ve not visited a dentist for a long time due to a previous dentist in South Cave not only botching me, but really hurting me in the process. It only takes one bad experience to develop a fear of the dentist (please bear in mind I’ve had various complex procedures over the years with no issues or fear until this one bad experience). I knew the veneer was slightly cracked for some time, but I put off getting it fixed due to being frightened. Eventually, it properly broke and was so painful and looked that awful that I couldn’t put it off anymore. I was so embarrassed and didn’t want to leave the house. I booked an emergency appointment with First Practice due to a recommendation and I couldn’t be happier that I did. Ali and the dental nurse were FANTASTIC and couldn’t have done a better job of putting me at ease. They made me feel comfortable and checked I was okay at every step. Unfortunately, it took quite some work to give me my smile back but they were honest and transparent about what to expect from this process and its cost. The costs were more than reasonable given the work that needed doing and I found them to be cheaper than other local practices. I’m so happy with my results - I’ve even attended two hygiene appointments since. Ali did an amazing job and I’m no longer afraid of attending dental appointments. Not visiting a dentist for years is something I’ve worried about for a long time so I’m relieved to be attending regular appointments again. I’m now looking forward to correcting other issues/dislikes I have with my teeth and improving my smile overall. Cannot recommend this practice enough, particularly Ali! Although every single member of staff I’ve encountered has been lovely and accommodating! Thank you so much for everything. 🙂

Shocking! I don’t think I’ve ever been to an establishment that has had so many mis communications in processes. I was Booked in for something totally different to what I asked for, the dentist was ridiculously rough in the check up and X-rays. The practice manager seems an email response and feedback appropriate to a very distressing experience. The practice also were very persistent on my children joining despite myself declining a number of times. It would seem the availability is there for a reason. Please do your research before attending. I am now going back to my original dentist in Cottingham.

First Practice - first for service. Saturday pm - find a lump of tooth in the bread I was chewing. Sharp edges and discomfort, but no pain. Monday morning 10.45am, phone First Practice to arrange a fix. Monday 12.00midday - walk out with tooth fixed. Many thanks to Stuart and his team.

Perfect ..this dental practice when above and beyond with the care of my 5yr old grand daughter. I can't thank them enough. What a wonderful practice x
