We received a get well card torn completely and delivered to the wrong address - despite the correct address on the envelope. 🙄😒 if they were any contents in the card…they are lost. Tried their complaints procedure. Constant redirects. Gets you no where. You then….telephone their given number. All automated and then they say they can’t help you. Useless. I can travel (use petrol) to a post office and fill out a form but I did not send the card they damaged. So it’s pointless. We stopped the postman to ask… he said it’s the machines fault but he still knowing it was damaged - he posted it to a neighbor. 🙄😒 We also get other peoples mail. We’ve had many issue in the past 18 months. No duty of care to paying customers. The postman knew it was torn…. Never any apologies and no way to complain. Maybe we have to go back to carrier pigeons.
Royal Fail! It seems a shame that a British institution the size of this one cannot keep up with the times. You order from Amazon and they tell you when it will be delivered, they allow you to track it, I get texts telling me how many stops away it is from my house and have the option to leave instructions for the delivery guy so he can access secure parts of my property to leave my parcel safe. Royal Mail on the other hand tell me my parcel will arrive before 9pm! If I miss it I have to take time off work to collect it, no one answers the phone and the queue is enormous due to one bumbling individual behind the desk. You will fail, allow overseas services to overtake yet another British service and probably take eBay down with you unless their sellers wise up and disassociate themselves from you. This is such a shame that a 'Royal' service has fallen so far behind with all the resources behind you. Logged back in to replace my 2 star with a 1 star. Since I wrote this review, a parcel for my youngest was lost by them. Royal Mail received it, delivered it somewhere other than my address and then said I should ring the Chinese seller to sort it out as they had no idea where it was! Then yesterday I ordered several things from Amazon. Two of which didn’t come from Amazon, they were delivered 24h by Royal Mail. I waited in, only to receive an update that they are undeliverable. When I called RM, they said it could be badly addressed, a damaged label. But they’re terribly sorry. I checked and the two items that were undeliverable were from different sellers, the only thing they had in common was Royal Mail had a role in their delivery. I’ll look more closely in future and if there is even a chance that Royal Mail get a chance to waste my time, I’ll pass.
Our postman is on holiday this week and we have been expecting a few important letters and small packages to be delivered this week. It seems that no-one is covering their route while they are off. What are we paying for? If my duties were not covered when I am not working there would be huge issues. It is now Friday and not 1 post man or lady has been seen by the residents of my road. Completely unacceptable. Ringing them is pointless unless you have hours to kill on hold.
Really badly run. They always make me feel that I am causing them a problem. That they shouldn't have to go get my parcel. Its painfully slow, cold, dirty, no chairs. If I had a bowl in my hand it would be Oliver twist, a queue of the quiet, shuffling, waiting, hopeful........ Parcels gone missing, unable to arrange redelivery or when you can they dont turn up half the time. I'm 4 parcels down shortly before christmas but am avoiding a visit to the place of hopelessness. Anyway let's hope things improve going forward. I understand RM are in some trouble. Their staff are clearly not happy.
It would be nice to have longer opening hours but always a quick, friendly service when picking up a parcel. Our post delivery to home is spot on too. Always helpful and friendly.
