After knowing Steve since I was a kid, it was a no brainer that Steve & Cartmells would be dressing my husband & his groomsmen on our wedding day. From January 2022 we were in Cartmells every week as they worked around all the groomsmens schedules. Cartmells also got all our bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride dress & page boy suits altered by their master tailor. Cartmells sourced ties from abroad, sourced & tailored shirts for each person. Ordered jackets, trousers, waistcoats, ties & shirts over the past 18 months to make sure our lads looked perfect! 10/10 Brought in a D&G suit to get tailored but also needed a new belt and some shoes. Staff were incredibly accommodating and really helpful. Steve and the team are brilliant - highly recommend this place.

I have been shopping at Cartmell’s for several years and have to say it is without doubt my favourite menswear shop in the UK. You can always be assured of a very friendly welcome from Steve and the team whenever you visit the store. The welcome and experience when shopping at Cartmell’s is more like a social event with a spot of shopping on the side rather than like most other shops where it is quite bland and impersonal. Cartmell’s has a fantastic range of quality designer clothes to suit all age ranges and most pockets. Everything from a tee shirt to high end suits can be bought in store enabling smart casual to uber formal attire. Yes, it is not cheap here however, if you enjoy quality menswear that your budget can stretch to then this is the place to shop. A visit to the store is the best and only way get the true Cartmell experience so make a date in your diary to visit as I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

I have been in lots of designer menswear shops and this is by far the best! Service is always outstanding! They helped me out last minute with a outfit for the races, getting it tailored for the next day! Outstanding!
