George Hull Anlaby

This was always an excellent shop for quality good value clothing and homeware but the new version is even better. Increased space and range and plenty of staff to help. No need to be afraid of the new tills, there is plenty of help around. Worth downloading the rewards app so offers are not missed.

The actual shop and selection of products was lovely and i bought many things which is where my issues came about. Self service tills are great for people with small shops, but for me who was buying furniture and big items, the bagging area is so small and in my opinion unsuitable that I had to make 3 different transactions? staff seemed confused and unorganised around the tills and they only had small bags around the till area. i had to ask 3 times for a big bag (where they are trying to charge 90p for a paper bag!!) and some of the staff didn’t even know they had them. the till situation ruined my experience and whilst i enjoyed shopping there i won’t be returning.

After the Anlaby store was closed for refurbishment, I was excited to go to reopening, but found it very disappointing! Serve yourself tills installed,which was much needed, but only one accepts cash. There doesn't seem to be as much Womens clothing or accessories anymore. Upstairs is homeware & baby clothes & accessories. Went the once , but won't be bothering again.

Absolutely diabolical! 5pm on a Thursday, currently 41 people in the que and only TWO staff on the tills! Been waiting 20 minutes so far and still only half way there! Dumping our trolley and leaving it! Oh now there is only ONE staff member at the tills! Unbelievable! Best is its not a one off either!

It’s ok, personally I preferred it when it was Asda living, had a better selection, especially with electronics!
