Spacious Field great for dog walkers and Thier dogs to get Thier energy out
Good pitches and dog friendly we walked round the edge with dog then watched the football
It's a sportsfield. A very nice place to walk the dog.
As a major park area of Hessle many activities take place mainly football, there is a small children's play area with a few swings and climbing frames. A new clubhouse type building but not having visited I cannot comment of what I offers. There is also an all weather basketball/football pitch to use, the park is popular with dog walkers. Many years ago, for reasons that I don't understand, although I suspect health and safety issues, there was a large hill in the park which had a slide from the top of the hill to the bottom, climbing frames and swings. I spent many a happy, if tiring days, with my own children then my first 2 grandchildren, and I am bitterly disappointed that I cannot now share that experience with my current younger grandchildren. It was all removed to be replaced by a weak and inferior offering that soon bores my current grandchildren. The park is kept reasonably tidy although the waste bins and the surrounding areas are not always maintained.
