Shambles Korner

A quaint little halal cafe, perfect for breakfast, lunch and maybe even dinner! Came here twice during our visit to York and absolutely enjoyed the food. It’s a small cafe though, so best to come early as it can get super busy during peak dining hours. Price is also pretty average. Definitely will recommend to anyone visiting York and looking to have halal meals!

The food was very delicious and the ambience was very good. It’s located in the heart of shamble and we took so many nice photograph in this cafe. We are craving for italian pasta anda pizza, and turn out this is halal food that makes ++++ positive point for us since we are moslem. The waitress named Namrata was very friendly and helpful. Good job! :)

Bombay Style was a big surprise, I never had any indian-style brunch but the flavor is good, full of variety. The Spicy Hash was ok, tasty but just some hash browns and eggs w bread, I might just have too high expection when looking at the menu. Service was a bit off, the waiter seemed not wanna talk to us when we ordered food and asked where is the bathroom.

The English breakfast I had was absolutely delicious! Every component was cooked to perfection. The roasted tomato was incredibly succulent, bursting with flavour, and the eggs were perfectly well-done, just the way I like them. But the real highlight? The sausages were truly out of this world—some of the best I've ever tasted. Beyond the fantastic food, the service was great, attentive and friendly without being intrusive. I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for a superb English breakfast experience!

We came across Shambles Korner whilst exploring the Shambles area and were very pleased we did! Between us, we had the breakfast burger, calamari, garlic mushrooms on toast and a side of fries, all of which were freshly cooked and delicious! Staff were friendly and appreciative of positive feedback :)
