Heworth Chinese Take Away

The food is amazing, the staff are friendly, the right price. Great place. Also free prawn crackers without asking. My favourire chinese food in York. The salt & pepper squid is perfectly cooked.

Just had a group order from here and i cant recommend them enough. Portion sizes are massive and so tasty, mine was beef tomato with chips and it was gorgeous, ( and im fussy lol.) Service is always good and orders dont take long being delivered. I do have one complaint though, they are in York and i live in Hull , so i can only get to have their food when i visit friends. Get your orders in folks as you wont regret it . X

Excellent take away. The food was good, well spiced and tasty. The service was great and the staff really friendly. The portion size was great value. We ordered fried chicken in blackbean with rice and the a portion of chips. There was easily enough for 3 adults. Exactly what I wanted and better than expected. Definitely recommend if you want straight forward Chinese takeaway. After the meal we felt content and well fed. Thank you

These are so much of a rip off merchant went to the shop last night for a birthday treat so I ordered 2 omelettes and cartons of gravy waited like 25 minutes of it which it wasn’t that busy then when I got home I found that they have only given me 2 omelettes without no chips and so I went immediately back because I only live around the corner then I explained that they didn’t give me the chips and all that I got was that it doesn’t come with chips and that I never asked for chips I said that the board at the menu is on clearly states that it comes with chips and peas and for £7.50 for an omelette which I thought included the chips then she said yeah don’t take any notice of that we do our own prices and I noticed that someone has put a £2 on the chips on the board which wasn’t there before I replied so how much would it have been with the chips she said that the chips are separate and it would of come up to £14.50 but I will only let you paid £4 for them so I had to pay extra for chips then when I got home I noticed that the gravy was 2 carton of curry so I spend £19.80 for 2 omelettes and 2 cartons of gravy which were missing and a extra £4 on chips will never go back there again please avoid unless you like paying stupid prices just for a small portion of food

My partner ordered and collected so not sure about service and atmosphere but the food was definitely a decent sized potion. Large potion and tasty.
