Lovely place, lovely people and they do brilliant cuts. Been here twice and will go again when I need a haircut!

I've had multiple hair cuts from this place and had my beard trimmed. Always had a very good job done. Went to one of the most hipster looking places down the road once which charges twice as much and they gave me precisely the same cut. This place doesn't look flash but they're very competent and also very nice people. Edit: still going here regularly and still very competent and excellent value

I have been using this business for my haircut for the last 16 years. The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help, this has recently shown after being wheelchair bound after an accident and the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate me. The price is always fair and the service is top notch hence my repeated custom over the last 16 years. I won't visit anywhere else for my haircut. A real gem a short distance from York City Centre.

I’ve had my hair cut in many distant locations and by wide variety of brbers. This, yesterday, I think, was the best. It becomes my new, personal, Gold Standard, displacing a taciturn Ossie in Port Arthur.. I’m old, so I forget names. My York barber was a young woman, (who had trained as a brickie). I cannot remember her name. I live 100 miles from York and now that I’m old my hair grows slowly. A Day, in York, next Spring for a haircut? I’m up for it. She’s that good.
