Awful place, staff sit in the office all the time, you knock at the office staffs door and they roll their eyes at you, they slam the door shut in your face, you tell them you're struggling with noise (autistic) and they go "oh well", staff then slag you off to other members, tell a nurse you wanna self harm and you get told "that's fine you go and do that" get given half of my normal PRN tablets when I'm meant to have a full one. I have only been there 2 days and it's already making me worse, and cant leave as im on a section 2 Alison Smith you should be ashamed allowing staff to carry on like this
Absolutely shocking place. If people are being slightly difficult to deal with (which, what do you expect in a mental health ward?) they kick them out onto the street. It’s only a matter of time before they do this to someone who is suicidal and something serious happens. Some of the staff are condescending and talk down, especially one of the consultant nurses. Some of the staff are pleasant, others don’t seem to want to do much other than sit and vape with the patients all day and night!
Absolutely disgusting how they treat my brother, just kicking him into the streets with his bags with no where to go because he was too loud and abusive, isn’t that what mental health is though?????????? Also not even a phone call to his next of kin to let us know they was discharging him, so we could have picked him up safely. Also not to forget hanging up on my mum multiple times just because she wanted to know why she’d not been informed. Should be ashamed. Because I would be.
Absolutely horrific place! Karl, Molly, Chelsea, Connell….you should all be ashamed of yourselves. I would urge anybody sent to this hospital to contact an advocate and legal counsel as soon as you possibly can. It’s very obvious that the majority of the staff here are on a power trip and enjoy abusing their perceived position of “power”. Grossly negligent, completely lacking compassion, low skilled workers, poor communication and record keeping, forced medication, violent use of restraints….A truly horrendous place.
The way some staff speak to patients is awful and some try to wind patients up.meds not given on time.No regard for patient’s physical health eg allergies, chronic problems.staff on phones in the communal area and a total disregard for confidentiality by discussing patients in front of professionals not working the ward (support workers)Staff giving patients stuff to other patients to use eg chargers, power banks.patient property ending up in hospital property.lying to patients family’s. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND
