ALTIDO Affordable York

For the price it is okay. Very short walk to the town centre. We stayed for 3 nights and our towels or toilet roll was not replaced. We were unable to hang out clothes or iron them as none was provided. The property is next to a construction site so we was woken up to noise. The view is not nice and the room is very very small.

A super comfortable, brand new, clean and modern place to stay. It’s central, a very short walk into the centre of town but just in a bit of an ugly industrial street. The rooms are a bit like private rooms in a hostel, or fancy student accommodation - you have a spacious room with huge desk and private bathroom to yourself but share the kitchen (however kitchen was only used as a tea and coffee lounge due to Covid). Free coffee, tea, biscuits, and cold water bottles provided. Wifi was insanely fast and reliable - I got 100MB/s at most times! There are also plenty of power points and USB ports, including a few right next to the bed. The only bad part: there is a horribly obnoxious gym next door that plays loud doof-doof music continuously from 5:45am-10pm. It woke me up every morning and eliminated the possibility for a daytime nap. Bring earplugs!! Also mattresses are a bit lumpy, could do with a topper to shield the springs.

Modern building at a walking distance from the city centre! You feel at home in your small, but nice and cosy, sort of tiny apartment. Not much space but really clean and well organised. Incredibly fast wifi connection. Staff so friendly and kind and always ready to help and provide anything requested. Eccellent value for money.

For the price this is a fantastic place to stay. Minutes from York city centre, clean and tidy, comfortable bed and lovely helpful staff, highly recommended if you don't want anything fancy and you don't want to empty your pockets.

Room was clean. Very basic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bit of a walk to food and attractions, but not too far.
