We had a wonderful stay! The place is charming, perfectly quiet, and extremely clean. Everything 's well organized and equipped with all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The apartment is cozy and well maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it ideal for resting. The location is super convenient for visiting the city, with pubs, parks, restaurants, and everything you need within walking distance. We truly felt at home and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We would love to come back!
Absolutely amazing stay at the hideaway. The house was fully equipped with everything that you could ask for and even came with some snacks and bubbles and beer in the fridge which was a lovely surprise! The house was very clean, organised and warm. It was only around 20min walk to the city centre and there's also a bus that only takes a couple minutes to get there. Overall, great communication from the owners, very cosy stay, I would highly recommend and would return. Thanks a lot!
An absolutely delightful stay in this beautiful Hideaway. The place was spotless and welcoming and felt like a lovely home from home. Such a convenient location too, just a short walk into the centre of York with history everywhere you turn on the way! There’s a Co-op shop less than a minute away which was great and a lovely park opposite with very friendly locals. Highly recommend The Hideaway, Jim was great to deal with and very knowledgable about fun things to do in the area. Can’t wait to stay here again soon!
Wonderful experience at The Hideaway – genuinely one of the best equipped AirBnBs I've stayed in and the hosts were excellent and communicative throughout. It's also worth saying I'm not sure which place the one rogue reviewer stayed in as it absolutely wasn't this one – the property was spotless and we actually bumped into the host himself going in to clean it as we left. It looks like I'll be visiting York a bit more due to family reasons, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
If you’re going to York, go here. Beautiful place, close to city centre, wonderful facilities and just “a nice place “. Easy parking and plenty of niche shops to waste your money on. Local park is a feature as well. We absolutely loved it and look forward to booking again.
