Arnot House is a very nice B&B. Kim was very helpful and friendly. She provides lots of lovely extras - cake and sherry in the room, little nibbles along with the in-room tea tray. Beds are comfortable and good showers. Very clean. Arnot House is on a quiet street, yet an easy walk into town. Very walkable from the train station, though might be further than many might want to walk with luggage. 10 - 15 min. An excellent choice!
We loved our two-night stay at the Arnot House in July 2022. Kim, the owner, was the friendliest and most gracious host and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with her. The nicely appointed room was very comfortable and quiet, and she thought of every single detail to make our stay pleasant. The location was easily accessible by foot to/from the train station and the city centre. Best of all, was the delicious full English breakfast. It was outstanding! We very highly recommend!

If you want a true bed and breakfast experience, this is the place you must stay. If you want a good location for your visit to York, this is the place you must stay. If you want a gracious and informative host, this is the place you must stay. Comfortable, elegant, clean, five star service, staying at Kim's made our visit to York brilliant.
The decision to visit York, England was made. Now where to stay? We wanted a location close to the city center but away from the hustle and bustle. I consulted the Rick Steves guide to England and he recommended Arnot House as a good place. He was not wrong! After our reservations were made, the owner mailed us a guide map, restaurant recommendations, and a brochure for the house. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Kim who welcomed us and assisted with all our plans like a premiere travel guide. She was familiar with hours of operations, train and bus schedules, easy to follow directions and local weather forecast. We highly recommend Arnot House as a clean and comfortable accommodation in York. The included breakfast will impress any palate and offers several options to enjoy. Sharon Leyva
