Just yesterday, after 11 weeks, I moved out from James House. I have no words to describe how lovely people are there, especially mr Reuben, he took care of me and my children as if we were his closest family. Thank you very much for the quiet, peaceful and nice roof over my head.
It’s been a week now since I’ve left James house! Me and my 4 children moved in to James house 7 months ago just before Christmas so we spent Christmas newyears eve etc in James house and the staff there went above and beyond to make me and especially my boys to feel welcome there I had Christmas presents for my boys delivered to my door even new clothes by members of staff I couldn’t thank them enough for the welcome I had as soon as we moved in there always there to help me and my kids even with out me asking for it I even cried on the day I moved out because I was going to miss all staff there especially front desk staff ❤️ you all know who you are they basically live there with you so I did get used to there faces everyday and it feels like I’ve left a family it’s been bitter sweet hard to leave as I won’t see the staff anymore but I’m happy to now be housed with my boys also security there the guys are humble also very nice people all round at James house and I already miss all James house workers there your all great and do amazing at your jobs I can’t thankyou all enough for the support and general day to day chitchats we had that made my time at James house warm comforting and homely considering the circumstances I was in ❤️ Carmen and boys
Well ive just spent just over 10 months in james house and i honestly cannot find a negative thing to say about the place. I got on with every member of staff ..not a cross word said in the 10months spent their..if i had a problem they would try and help as much as they could. If you have respect for them ..they will have it back.. james house itself was a safe space..warm ..clean and comfortable..no complaints from me their either .i was sorry to leave .... Carnt really say much more apart from thankyou james house
I will be sharing my experience very soon from verbal assault, discrimination, ableism, endangerment when mismanaging a building fire, and physical/verbal intimidation from several key members of staff. I spent a year at James House with my baby (from a newborn) and was treated like a crinimal, not a vulnerable disabled person made homeless through no fault of her own. The way staff bully, harass, insult, and refuse to help is beyond incompetent; it is deliberate and malicious. Several people I have spoken to that suffered the same treatment from staff echo the sentiment that staff 'set you up to fail' which is exactly true. Rather than be supportive, compassionate and do their jobs, they judge, persecute and intimidate. They are housing support workers yet they act like prison wardens. The only possitive from James House was a security guard named Jaimie. He was purely good and JH doesn't deserve him.
