Peaceful and beautifully kept gardens with a friendly volunteer run kiosk selling drinks and home baking on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout the summer months. Tennis courts (for members of the tennis club), bowling green (for members of the bowling club), basket ball court, children's play area, table tennis table, short accessible woodland walk free for all. Large grassy area for ball games, dog ball throwing, picnics, kids general larking about!! Loads do very well looked after flower beds which are great for spotting plants and mini beasts! Very dog friendly with many bins dotted around. Co-op across the road for refreshments when the kiosk is closed. Lots of benches and a few picnic tables. Toilet only accessible when the kiosk is open. On street parking nearby. Sever events run by the volunteers throughout the year, the highlight the Heworth Scarecrow Trail each August bank holiday weekend.

Really lovely green space, close to the centre of York. I like to take a book, lots of benches and nice spots to sit and nice and quiet. Recently I went when the bowling team was training and enjoyed an evening watching and having a conversation with the lovely community of the park.

A lovely place to walk and have a picnic in Summer especially. A great space for kids to play or for adults to relax. You can also watch a game of bowls or grab a cuppa when the café is open. All run by local volunteers who do a great job to keep the park tidy, safe and enjoyable for all.

Class Basketball Court that is well looked after despite the best efforts of people smashing glass and throwing drawing pins over the court.

Glen Gardens are a good place to relax. A kiosk open as per notice at the entrance serves terrific home made cakes and big mugs of tea. Drink al fresco at the tables or get take outs. There is bowls to watch when Osbaldwick Bowling Club in full season and interesting wildish places to investigate along with a children's play area. Don't miss it.
