Well, the Fairy Trail is certainly a fantastic achievement for the local adult volunteers and children who have made the walk so enjoyable and we are so glad we explored the path starting at the iron gate by the bridge. We are in our 60's and thoroughly enjoyed the magical warm and still summer evening walk along the riverbank. We just wish we had our grandchildren with us to experience the excitement it brought back to us. Talk about turning back the clock of time, it certainly worked for us as we were transported back to our childhood ! Looking high and low for the next fairy home hidden away in some secluded spot at ground level or in a hole in a tree many feet from the ground had my wife and I eagerly seeing who could spot the next. π On the return journey we faced the wrath of the Pixies in the form of gnats and other biting insects but it was all part of the mystical experience. And not to be missed.........or so we told ourselves π€π
What a cute creative whimsical idea ! "Wing Deptt" in Fairy hospital cracked me upπ You can sit and just gaze at low hanging tree branches. You gotta say "I do believe in fairies" to make the place come aliveπ€©
An amazing, heartwarming and magical initiative by local volunteers. Spend around 30 minutes wandering through this riverside path spotting a wide assortment of fairy houses and their residents dotted around the place. Great activity for familes, but also for couples!
Great place for walking muttley and I'd imagine a very magical experience for children visiting too. The people maintaining the space and the little fairy homes clearly put alot of thought and love into it.
Great place to bring kids for a walk and see the fairy houses , just make sure little kids are watched closely as it is quite near to the rivers edge
