The Mews is a self catering flat located in Masham, the gateway to Wensleydale, situated at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to the west the Pennine Hills and to the east Vale of York. Set in unspoilt countryside there is plenty to see and do in the immediate area and it is an ideal base for touring further afield. Available locally are fishing, tennis, pony-trekking, bird-watching, golf and cycling and gentle walking country.
A warm welcome is guaranteed and we will be delighted to advise on places to visit enabling you to make the most of your stay in this beautiful part of the country. The Mews adjoins the owners Victorian house and was originally the granary and bothy over the stables. A car is needed as the public transport in unreliable, we have parking for 2 cars.
Panoramic views of the open countryside from this 4 star luxury accommodation. In the lounge there is a wood burning stove, colour TV, video and radio CD player and fresh flowers. All fuel for the fire and central heating is provided. The spacious fully fitted kitchen/dining room has an electric hob and oven, includes a microwave oven and dishwasher and bread maker. A bottle of wine and a homemade cake will await your arrival. A varied selection of good eating pubs and restaurants are available within a few miles if you choose to eat out,with top award winning venuesamong them.Both bedrooms have vanity units and shaver points. the house bathroom has a bath plus a power shower. All bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linen is provided plus a 24 hour laundry service. We have 1.5 acres of walled gardenand orchard with lawns for croquet or other games, table tennis, barbecue, hammock, picnic area, summerhouse and a small woodland walk with a wildlife pond. The orchard is home to sheep and goslings, which provide interest, amusement and a taste of country life to all especially in spring and early summer. Our friendly sheepdog loves someone to play with, but this means your pets have to stay at home.
