Best landlord in North Yorkshire! Such a friendly pub, fire warm and feel right at home! And Great Dane Hector is the loveliest dog! Would recommend to anyone who loves a friendly environment, dogs and a chat.
Visited for Sunday lunch. What can I say? Service was excellent, the food was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes very generous indeed. All at a very reasonable price. If I didn't live 150 miles away I'd go there regularly. You can't easily find food of this quality at such good value.
We booked a table for a Sunday dinner. It was delicious. My husband had the special, lamb, and I had a nut roast. There was plenty of vegetables, mashed potatoes, roast parsnips and swede. The staff were very friendly and polite. We highly recommend this place.
I had a chicken parmo. It was fun, but should only be eaten about once a year. A chicken schnitzle, topped with what felt like a full block of cheese, peperoni and jalapeno chilli. It was well done and used decent ingredients. Amy had fish pie, this was really good full of fish and prawns, nice sauce
We had a lovely meal, food is fresh and good quality 👌 we had a early meal so we could bring our dog , the place was quiet not much atmosphere but its a very nice place.
